An Email Agency's 20-Year Arc: The New Product Lineup At RPE Origin

RPE Origin, an email-first digital marketing agency, has introduced several new products as it celebrates its 20th anniversary in business. 

For one, it has launched a Generative AI Consulting program.   

“Most marketers don’t really grasp the work that needs to be done to prep for an AI implementation, not to mention the data work that should be done,” says CEO Ryan Phelan.  “Additionally, there’s a need for use case generation in order to prove out efficacy before investment.  Finally, it’s about finding the right tool for their needs.  We are going to be working with Enterprise companies on how they navigate their AI implementation and uses within their own martech stack.

In addition, the firm has expanded its creative strategy team and now offers graphic videos for clients. “Customers have been looking for ways to engage segments beyond a flat email experience,” Phelan says. “Moving far beyond video-in-email, it’s about a holistic approach in the customer experience. 

The company describes itself as a full-service, vendor-agnostic agency, staffed with experts in email marketing and CRM, strategic planning, ESP research, selection and migration management design and production; and AI enablement.

In 2020, Red Pill Email merged with Origin Email, founded by industry veteran Phelan. 

“RPE Origin was born out of John Caldwell's vision for an agency focused on a channel that we have dedicated our careers to,” Phelan says. “This company is a part of the history of this space.”

"Twenty years ago, I could only dream of the kind of success we have had," Caldwell says.

He adds that the firm has “grown significantly in our service offerings as well as our roster of client-partners.” Each one brings us a journey through their experience with email. 

As for the future of email, Phelan predicts that the “next five years for email will be as revolutionary as the previous 20.  AI, data, and consumer demands should compel companies to invest in a channel that remains at the top of the ROI metrics. We’re bullish in our future and the future of email marketing and are prepared to usher our client-partners into that new chapter.”
