Hard Rock Bet, the sports betting platform for the Seminole Tribe of Florida, and the state’s only legal sportsbook, is asking fans to pick a side with its spring “Battle of the Bets” campaign kicking off alongside NCAA basketball’s March Madness tournament.
The “Battle of the Bets’ feature offers a daily promotion allowing users to “pick a side” in the March Madness games for their share of a $250,000 prize pool. Two featured bets will square off each day, and by placing a minimum wager of $1, players are entered for their chance at winning a share of the prize if their bet wins. If neither side wins, the prize pool will increase the next day. The feature will let users weigh in on “big games, have fans choose between fierce rivals, and pit favorites against underdogs,“ according to a release announcing the news.

Stagwell-owned creative agency 72andSunny worked with Hard Rock Bet on both product development and an ad campaign promoting the new offering.
"We asked ourselves—what's the simplest, most exciting part of any bet? Just picking a side. That insight led to a new way to tap into everyone’s competitive spirit: dynamic bet matchups, refreshed daily to reflect the biggest sports stories,” 72andSunny New York Group Creative Director Peter Hughes said in a statement.
The ad campaign to promote “Battle of the Bets” is running on TV, streaming, radio, out-of-home, and digital marketing channels. Hard Rock Bet teased the launch with a video on its Instagram page, followed by posts and video reels shared today introducing the new feature.
Last December, an increase in sports gambling advertising was one subject of discussion during the first congressional hearing about the industry. The topic received additional scrutiny this week when sports gambling was the featured topic for the most recent episode of Max’s “Last Week Tonight With John Oliver.”
