Pinterest To Host LTK Influencer Shopping Content

To help boost its strategic position in the social commercesphere, Pinterest will begin showing high-performing creator content originally posted on the influencer shopping platform LTK.

According to a report by The Verge, the most popular image posts on LTK will automatically be added to Pinterest's content stream. The program, which is still in early stages, will roll out over the summer, providing LTK influencers who create “high-quality, styled” image-based posts immediate access to Pinterest's 570 million monthly active users.

According to The Verge, “when an LTK post is shared to Pinterest, a link to the influencer's profile and their tagged products will follow.”

While this partnership could further Pinterest's emerging success as a competitive commerce hub, with the chance to override the onslaught of AI slop circulating on the platform, LTK creators will be positioned to benefit from a boost in affiliate sales by appearing in front of multiple social shopping audiences at once.

Boasting the most intent-driven users across the social media landscape -- the majority of whom are Gen Z -- Pinterest is an understandable strategic partner for LTK, which is used by 40% of Gen Z women in the U.S., according to the company.

Prior to partnering with Pinterest, LTK has forged integrations with other major social media companies eager to lead the West's developing social commerce push, including TikTok.

Last year, LTK reported over $5 billion in annual merchandise sales, touting over 350,000 creators, 8,000 retailers, and 1 million brands using its platform.
