With Mariah Carey's chart-topping Christmas songs landing front and center in viral TikTok videos, the ByteDance-owned company has decided to partner with Apple Music and media enterprise Gamma to
broadcast a live holiday concert featuring a selection of songs from the pop star's latest album, “Here For It All.”
“Mariah Carey's Here For It All Holiday Special,” which
will take place in Las Vegas at Park MGM's Dolby Live venue on December 13 at 8 PM PT, will mark the singer-songwriter's final show of her Vegas residency and will be available to view on TikTok LIVE
and Apple Music in HD.
Apple Music subscribers will also be able to watch the performance at their leisure via an on-demand option.
Since its release in 1994, Mariah Carey’s
“Merry Christmas” album has become the best-selling Christmas album of all time, certified Platinum nine times in the U.S., and selling up to 18 million copies across the globe.
For the past 19 weeks, the album's biggest song, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” has landed the top slot on the Billboard Hot 100, tying two other songs -– Shaboozey's “A
Bar Song (Tipsy)” and Lil Nas X's “Old Town Road” -- for the all-time record.

With the worldwide popularity of TikTok, songs from Mariah Carey’s famed holiday record
have been integrated into short-form creator-made videos, with “All I Want for Christmas Is You” appearing in videos viewed over 130 billion times on TikTok, according to a company’s
recent blog post.
Celebrating Mariah Carey and her unrivaled influence over the holiday season could bring an influx of viewers to TikTok at a specific moment, offering brands and TikTok Shop
merchants additional opportunities to utilize the platform's newest ad offerings and target consumers looking to buy last-minute gifts.
Despite being the queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey is
also trying to promote her sixteenth studio album, “Here For It All,” which may gain even more listenership with this live in-app experience.
Historically, live concert experiences
have been popular on TikTok, especially when the app taps into current user trends.
In August, the app's coverage of Tomorrowland broke a live viewer record, resulting in the addition of two
million more users who followed the Belgian electronic music festival's TikTok account.
