Quad Duo: Gorilla Glue Taps Rise As Media AOR, Betty Launches 'Tough' Campaign

The Quad agency is having a Gorilla Glue moment.

Rise has been selected as media agency of record by The Gorilla Glue Company, a nationwide manufacturer of tough adhesives and adhesive products. The win also includes O’Keeffe’s, the skincare brand owned by Gorilla Glue. Rise's remit is media planning, buying and measurement. It will lead the brands’ digital and traditional media strategy cross-channel.

Gorilla Glue's annual media expenditures are estimated at $30 million by agency research firm COMvergence.

Rise becomes the second Quad AOR tapped by Gorilla Glue, following a competitive pitch. In late November, Betty was named creative AOR. The consolidated partnership streamlines marketing execution for the account, as The Rise and Betty work as an integrated team.

Randy Limes, vice president of global digital marketing-media strategy at The Gorilla Glue Company, said: “Rise stood out for its ability to bring rigor, accountability and clear measurement to our media approach, helping us connect more effectively with DIYers, professionals and everyone in between, while driving real business impact.”

“Gorilla Glue and O’Keeffe’s are brands that win by earning trust through performance, and that mindset mirrors how the Quad family of agencies approaches every partnership,” said Joshua Lowcock, president of media at Quad. “Together, we’ll help the brands reach real people, make real connections and drive real business outcomes.”

The strategic collaboration with Rise marks the next step in Gorilla Glue’s evolution, which began with its recently launched “Chief Tough Officer” campaign, by Betty, which runs across social (Meta and TikTok) and CTV/OTT.

“When you work with a brand whose products are built for the toughest jobs on planet Earth, the creative has to show that toughness in a way that only Gorilla Glue can. The 'Chief Tough Officer' isn’t just a campaign — it’s a unifying platform that brings Gorilla Glue’s promise of extreme durability to life with an idea that’s ownable and designed to scale across products and platforms,” Mike Caguin, chief creative officer of Betty, told Agency Daily.

Quad is ranked among the largest agency companies in the U.S.
