Gotham FC, the reigning National Women’s Soccer League
champs, is moving to a new home in 2028: Ethihad Park in Queens, New York.
To promote that message, FC Gotham has launched a new platform: “Women’s Soccer. The New York Way”
with creative agency Young Hero.
The ad compares the club to the city, both are fast, expressive and loaded with energy.
Gotham FC’s presence has
been in New Jersey — the team was originally founded as Jersey Sky Blue in 2006. It became a founding member of the Nation Women's Soccer League in 2013. The name shifted to Gotham FC in
2021.
The spot runs primarily in CTV and the sounds of the No. 7 train, sidewalks and bodegas are part of the experience. The full campaign is across paid social, Kargo, OOH across NYC,
Long Island Rail Road, 7-Train MTA Stations and full taxi-wraps and toppers.

“Gotham had the vision to turn World Cup fever into real momentum for Gotham FC and women’s pro
soccer. We matched that ambition by bringing creative and production together under one roof and assembling a female-led team,” Zoë Bunyard, Young Hero's co-founder/managing partner told
Agency Daily.
“Creatively, we wanted to fit a major club milestone into a New York minute — a rush of pace, personality and artful chaos that moved
with the heartbeat of the city. It was smart business, bold creative and full-force execution,” she added.
On July 15, Gotham FC hosted the Washington Spirit at Citi Field in Queens, drawing a sellout crowd of 42,175 fans, setting an all-time New York City record for a
women’s sporting event.
Young Hero’s creative includes Ro, Museum of Plastic, UGG and Puma.
