Stagwell is relaunching its flagship media
agency Assembly as Stagwell Media and shelving the Assembly nameplate.
Assembly was formed by MDC Partners in 2014. MDC was acquired by Stagwell in 2021.
The move follows the
company’s appointment in September of Liz Rutgersson as CEO of Assembly, who now becomes CEO of the rebranded agency, overseeing both the global operation and the North America region,
reporting to Slavi Samardzija, Global Chair of Media & Commerce.

The relaunch is designed to position the operation as a leading-edge global media agency that combines AI technology (with
operating system Stagwell Machine OS at its core), integrated capabilities, and media expertise to help brands improve marketing performance and smoothly navigate the changing media
landscape.
The agency will leverage Stagwell's broader media and marketing ecosystem, including The Marketing Cloud and specialized media, commerce, and data
capabilities, to deliver more connected and effective marketing solutions, the company said.
Stagwell Media currently operates in more than 50 markets with over 2,300 employees serving global clients
including Lenovo, Mastercard, DP World, and Procter & Gamble.
“By combining superior technology, deep media expertise and agility, we help brands to adapt faster, reach audiences
more effectively and unlock growth," stated Mark Penn, Chairman & CEO of Stagwell.
