Google has finalized several major customization updates, features and technical adjustments to make text previews easier to customize and review, for newly migrated AI Max campaigns.
This allows advertisers to see examples of AI-generated headlines and descriptions before
enabling the feature to go live in Search campaigns.

The rollout of the analysis tool, which has not yet been named, was completed this week after being finalized
in September. The tools are intended to help track, preview, and measure performance.
The feature also addresses concerns by advertisers about brand safety and control of unapproved copy. The
pre-activation preview tool allows advertisers to generate and review up to 10 sample headlines and descriptions in roughly 30 seconds before pushing them live.
In September 2026, campaigns
using text customization, formerly known as automatically created assets, were automatically upgraded to AI Max. This upgrade was designed to help advertisers access more advanced AI features.
After entering a URL, Google AI analyzes the landing page and generates sample ad assets in about 30 seconds. Advertisers can review these examples to understand how Google might adapt their
messaging.
Advertisers can find previews in the Asset optimization section when creating a new Search campaign or editing an existing one. The feature supports languages currently available
for text customization and most business categories, with adult content excluded.
Google said it can help to identify potential issues with product positioning or inaccurate claims before
those concerns go live and affect campaigns.
Increase in responsive search advertising performance by automatically creating more headlines and descriptions; consistent user experience across
query, ad copy and landing pages, and reduced amount of manual work to create relevant ad copy are some of the benefits Google sites to automating the ability to customize and preview assets.
