Programmatic video ad platform TubeMogul on Friday announced it has been named a certified partner of Nielsen’s mobile Online Campaign Ratings (OCR). Starcom MediaVest is the first named client to use Nielsen’s mobile OCR via TubeMogul.
“The big breakthrough with Mobile OCR is that marketers now know if they are hitting their target age and gender regardless of what screen a viewer is watching on,” a TubeMogul representative said to Real-Time Daily. “If a brand wants to reach millennial males, for instance, they might see that investing in mobile apps is driving better ROI -- and move money there.”
TubeMogul has been upping its mobile offering, adding a slew of mobile inventory supply partners in the past nine months.
"A big part of video’s growth as a brand-building medium has to do with the fact that viewers are watching videos on smartphones and tablets," stated Zach Isaacs, VP and director at Starcom Worldwide.
