First America, Now The World: The Trade Desk Enters China

Independent agency trading desk The Trade Desk has swept the U.S. marketplace, becoming the go-to solution for agencies and clients outsourcing their programmatic media-buying, and now it hopes to do the same in China.

Following a beta launch late last year, TTD today announced it is rolling out its programmatic media-buying platform in China.

Details will be unveiled later today, but as part of its announcement, TTD alluded that its Chinese market opportunity is being fueled by the same element that gave it a niche in the U.S. marketplace: independence and neutrality.

“The Trade Desk’s independence, objectivity, and global reach were important reasons we partnered with them,” Tencent Marketing Solution Chief Data Officer Benson Ho explains in a statement included in TTD’s announcement.
