Redbox Signs FreeWheel For Programmatic Across Streaming Platforms

Redbox has tapped Comcast’s FreeWheel for programmatic advertising for its two streaming services.

The integration will allow advertisers, DSPs and buy-side systems to access national and local ad inventory and target audiences across Redbox’s ad-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) service and its free ad-supported television (FAST).

Redbox has been adding local U.S. markets and expanding content for both services through deals with studios and networks.

Its AVOD now offers thousands of free movies, and FAST offers  more than 100 free channels.
