Michael Sinoway Named Lucidworks CEO

Lucidworks has named Michael Sinoway as CEO, effective October 3. He succeeds Will Hayes, CEO since 2013.

The announcement follows news of last Thursday’s layoff of 24 staffers.

“The pandemic lengthened the sales cycle quite a bit,” explained a spokesperson.

Lucidworks is a San Francisco technology company focused on data and search, which provides the Connected Experience Cloud and AI-powered search applications.

Previously, Sinoway was CEO of Aftermarket Performance Group, a B2B ecommerce auto parts company. He also previously led the SaaS data analytics company MaritzCX.

In addition, Sinoway has been a managing director at both Deloitte Consulting and AlixPartners.

Sinoway praised Hayes, saying that a big reason for the firm’s success “has been Will Hayes' stewardship of the company and his focus on customers.”

For his part, Hayes stated that Sinoway’s background “is perfectly aligned with Lucidworks' mission of making the customer experience frictionless, and for giving internal teams the best possible tools to enable those experiences."
