Constant Contact Unveils AI Email, Text Tool For SMBs And Nonprofits

CRM platform Constant Contact has launched a multichannel content generator for small businesses and nonprofits. 

Built on the company’s data and AI algorithms and partly on OpenAI’s ChatGPT technology, the content generator automates the copy-creation process for email, text and social-media campaigns. 

The goal is to help SMBs “send tailored messages with minimal effort.” 

In addition, Constant Contact has unveiled what it calls its Automation Path Builder, which allows small businesses and nonprofits to create personalized journeys for customers based on recent actions and preferences.” 

The feature comes with a library of pre-built templates that can be used to produce campaigns for customers who take specific actions such as subscribing to a list or making a purchase.

Constant Contact has previously deployed AI technology for its subject-line recommendations, automated triggers and Spaminator anti-spam utility.

"ChatGPT has thrust AI into the spotlight, but few organizations -- especially in the SMB space -- have thought through how to operationalize this technology in a meaningful and effective manner," says observer Roger Beharry Lall, research director, marketing and promotional applications at IDC. 

Lall describes Constant Contact's new products as “practical and consumable toolsets that help address this gap by enabling thoughtful access to advanced AI capabilities specifically designed for small business organizations."
