Amazon Prime Video Leads In ACSI Customer Satisfaction Survey

Amazon Prime Video comes out on top among 10 streaming services in a new ranking from the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).

Prime Video — which this year surpassed Netflix in number of U.S. subscribers, according to Parks Associates, and is now said to be planning an ad-supported tier — pulled a score of 80 (up 8% from 74 in 2022), followed by NBCUniversal’s Peacock (79).

Hulu, Netflix, Paramount+ and YouTube Premium all scored 78, HBO Max 77, and Apple TV+ and Disney+ both scored 76.

Disney+ — #1 last year, with a score of 78 — and Disney’s ESPN+ were the only major streamers to see declines in their rankings this year: -3% and -1%, respectively.

ACSI also ranked consumer satisfaction with live TV apps.

Hulu+ Live TV, which wasn’t measured last year, ranked #1 for 2023, with a score of 80, followed by Dish’s Sling TV (76), YouTube TV (76) and DirecTV Stream (72).

The average score for “all other” streaming and live TV apps dropped from 78 in 2022 to 75 in 2023, ACSI reported.

ACSI interviewed more than 22,000 customers at random between April 2022 and March 2023.
