A year after abruptly stepping down as North American CEO of
GroupM's Mindshare unit, Amanda Richman has quietly landed as head of the global media sales team at Microsoft Advertising.
"As a long-time fan of Microsoft, it is an honor to join this
inclusive team and help solve our client's growth challenges today, while innovating a new world of advertising possibilities for tomorrow," Richman posted on her LinkedIn profile last week.
No official announcement has been released, but Richman confirmed
her new role as vice president-global media sales at Microsoft Advertising via a LinkedIn message with MediaPost.
In her post, Richman went on to cite how the media industry is "being
reimagined with AI," which is something Microsoft has been leading on, and working with big agency holding companies, too.
Since departing Mindshare, Richman took up a professional residency
at the Interactive Advertising Bureau, and recently joined the board of directors
at El Segundo, CA-based performance agency of Wpromote.
