Cadillac Partners With Designer, Tiafoe For U.S. Open

Cadillac is back at the U.S. Open, this time with a customer sneaker collaboration and social content featuring brand ambassador Frances Tiafoe.

Cadillac also collaborated with Los Angeles designer Dominic Ciambrone and his company Surgeon on custom sneakers inspired by Tiafoe’s  personal story.

One pair will be auctioned via CharityBuzz.com to support the USTA Foundation’s Frances Tiafoe Fund, which provides philanthropic support for free or low-cost tennis programming and academic services to more than 130,000 student-athletes annually.

The U.S. Open Fan Experience will house the General Motors luxury brand’s EV portfolio as well as an interactive experience. The Frances Tiafoe collaboration sneakers and the wider Cadillac collection will be on display in the Cadillac Showroom alongside the vehicles that served as inspiration.

Attendees can check out the all-new, all-electric 2025 Optiq, and register for a chance to win a trip to the sneaker’s brands studios in LA to design their own custom kicks.

The Surgeon team collaborated with Cadillac designers and artisans in-person at the General Motors Design Center in suburban Detroit. The team drew influence from the unique design detailing of each vehicle.

Cadillac created a series of short videos about the sneaker collaboration featuring Tiafoe that is being shared on the social channels of Cadillac, Tiafoe, Surgeon and the U.S. Open.

“Cadillac’s design philosophy celebrates transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary, individualizing what is common into something that is distinctively yours,” said Bryan Nesbitt, executive director, global Cadillac design, in a release .

The exclusive collection of custom Cadillac X Surgeon shoes will all be available for purchase for a limited time only on CadillacSignature.com beginning Sept. 8.  Only five pairs of each EV shoe nameplate — 20 total — will be sold.

Pricing will be revealed closer to the on-sale date. Proceeds from the sales will be donated to the USTA Foundation’s Frances Tiafoe Fund.

No.20 seed Tiafoe takes on No.13 Ben Shelton on Friday in the third round of the U.S. Open.
