Pinterest Partners With Emma Chamberlain For First Product Collaboration

Pinterest is releasing a limited-edition coffee blend with Chamberlain Coffee -- a company founded by popular Gen Z creator Emma Chamberlain.

The partnership marks the social media platform's first co-branded global product, which it will sell directly in the app.

The exclusive “sea salt toffee-flavored blend” will be available for purchase on June 17 via Chamberlain Coffee's website across the U.K., U.S., Canada, and Europe as well as on the company's Pinterest profile.

To advertise the product, Chamberlain launched a native Pinterest campaign inspired by users’ Pins. Chamberlain utilized the platform's layout and trending themes, such as the “Fisherman Aesthetic” listed on Pinterest's annual consumer trends forecasting report based on Pin engagement.

Per the product launch, Pinterest users will be able to visit a Pinterest board designed by Chamberlain, which highlights behind-the-scenes content from the campaign photoshoot, as well as shoppable Pins inviting users to purchase the blend and limited-edition merch.

With almost 15 million followers on Instagram, Chamberlain's influence over Gen Z audiences is evident. While displaying how brands can use Pinterest to “plan and predict upcoming products,” the company is also tapping further influencer marketing to delve deeper into direct product sales and its overall impact on the social commerce industry.

The news comes one week after Pinterest announced a strategic partnership with influencer shopping platform LTK, which is used by 40% of Gen Z women in the U.S., according to the company.

Now, when an LTK post is shared to Pinterest, a link to the influencer's profile and their tagged products will follow, ultimately expanding their reach while bringing more personalized shopping experiences to the platform's 570 million monthly active users.

This week, Pinterest also began pushing digital purchases via a partnership with e.l.f. Beauty. Together, both companies have introduced a personalized tool that demonstrates ways users can style various makeup shades, get matched with a curated Pinterest board, and then shop for products tailored to their individual look.

According to Statista, the global marketing industry is expected to grow 36% this year, partly because of social media personalities starting mainstream brands and marketing products to their massive followings.
