Gisele Audibles For H&M; Tom Silent For Uggs

Both halves of the world’s best-paid celebrity couple are breaking new fall fashion campaigns, with supermodel Gisele Bundchen making her singing debut for H&M, and quarterback husband Tom Brady taking another turn for Uggs footwear.

Bundchen, who has appeared in H&M ads in the past, belts out a version of the Kinks’ classic “All Day And All Of The Night.” Besides running in its TV spots, H&M is offering downloads of the song on its site for free, but also selling it on iTunes. For each download, it says it will make a donation to UNICEF to enable the purchase of vaccines for children. (Bundchen has also been a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Programme since 2009.)

The Swedish fast-fashion giant describes the new collection as “a tough but feminine look, straight from the streets, of utilitarian coats and blazers worn with blouses, sweatshirts and pants.” The supermodel began posting images from the campaign last month on Instagram.



The campaign, scheduled to break Sept. 12, also includes print and outdoor.

The retailer says it also intends to raise funds and awareness for UNICEF at Halloween, with its All for Children collection offering costumes inspired by 18th-century masquerades, with Marie Antoinette dresses and mermaid costumes, as well as pirate outfits and bat capes. That collection is scheduled to appear on October 10, with the chain devoting 25% of all sales to support UNICEF’s work in Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, Brady’s latest spot has him taking a silent walk through his sports career, portrayed as one long bus, for Ugg Australia footwear. He starts with nervous high-school baseball players, strides through his University of Michigan football days (including a doorway emblazoned with its famous “Those who stay will be champions” credo), and into the NFL, emerging through confetti and fanfare as the New England Patriots’ MVP quarterback. Ugg’s theme, “For gamechangers,” flashes on the screen. Ads are from M&C Saatchi Los Angeles.

Forbes has ranked Bundchen as the highest-paid fashion model, and the pair as the best-paid celebrity couple.
