California's Newsom Signs $25M Journalism Fellowship Program Into Budget

California Governor Gavin Newsom has signed a budget bill that includes $25 million for a Berkeley journalism fellowship program. The program will award up to 40 fellows per year a $50,000 annual stipend for three years starting in 2023.
