CoreMedia, a digital experience platform owned by OpenGate Capital, has acquired two software solutions providers: BySide, which offers journey and personalization tools, and Smarkio, a provider of SaaS chatbot solutions to B2C brands. 

The terms were not disclosed. 

The acquisitions expand CoreMedia’s real-time personalization and automation capabilities, and they “represent a next step towards the company’s creation of a cohesive and immersive digital experience platform,” says Andrew Nikou, OpenGate Capital’s founder and managing partner.

Together, the two purchased companies cover all aspects of the customer journey and experience, CoreMedia claims.
