At this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Delta Air
Lines announced a host of new content offerings for SkyMiles Members, including a deal with YouTube that provides ad-free Premium video, music and creator-based content offerings available free on
flights.
Along with plans to provide improved Wi-Fi, an AI-powered in-flight assistant, and updated 4K HDR Bluetooth-accessible entertainment systems, Delta is invested in "re-imagining how you
spend your time on board,” according to CEO Ed Bastian.
Delta's vision revolves around giving its customers at-home entertainment in the air. By subscribing to the airline's loyalty
program, passengers will be able to stream a variety of ad-free YouTube content, including videos, podcasts, music and more.
“People want access to their favorite content – whether
that is on TVs, on their phones – or even onboard a plane,” said Mary Ellen Coe, YouTube's Chief Business Officer, adding that with people often gathering travel tips from YouTube
creators, Delta passengers can utilize the new Premium content offerings to do so on the way to their destination.

Based on the rise of creator content on YouTube, Delta also announced that
former NFL player and current Fox Sports broadcaster Tom Brady has agreed to host “Well Traveled,” an exclusive in-flight series that the airline will showcase on board.
The
company says Brady will highlight wellness tips into various travel routines.
Delta -- which turns 100 years old this year -- said YouTube Premium and Youtube Music in-flight access will start
to arrive sometime “this year.”
