Peacock made major gains in gross
streaming sign-ups in February -- with a massive 5.2 million (free trial and paid consumers), according to Antenna.
Much of this was driven by its 17-day coverage of the Milan-Cortina Olympics
and the NFL Super Bowl.
In the paid subscriber gains, the data analytics company said Peacock pulled in 34% (4.9 million) of all 16.0 million sign-ups.
For the last 12 months, Peacock
pulled in 29.9 million sign-ups -- second-highest among nine premium streamers.
The highest total during that period was 32.0 million subscribers. The third-highest premium streaming platform
was Hulu, with 29.3 million.
Over the last 12 months, there was a total 206.4 million sign-ups among the nine streamers, which include Apple TV, discovery+, Disney+, HBO Max, Hulu, Netflix,
Paramount+, Peacock, and Starz.
