Days after updating his last global ad forecast for WARC, James McDonald has joined Madison and
Wall as managing director, global markets as part of its own global expansion.
The expansion includes the addition of Senior Analyst Michael Leszega, who previously was an analyst at
IPG Mediabrands' Magna unit, which was acquired as part of Omnicom's acquisition of Interpublic late last year.
His appointment reunites Leszega with former Magna exec Luke Stillman, who joined Madison and Wall as managing director late last year.
The
expansion consolidates some of the best ad industry economists in an independent publisher and consultancy, and comes as Madison and Wall expands from its base of tracking U.S. and
Canadian advertising to the global marketplace, as well as 50 discrete national markets.
"The advertising economy is becoming more complex, more global and more dependent on
high-quality data," McDonald said in a statement, adding: "There is a real need for independent analysis, rigorous datasets and practical insights that help companies make better decisions in a
fast-changing market."
