    Former Yahoo CMO Elisa Steele has joined Skype to lead the Microsoft unit’s marketing efforts. Steele, who left Yahoo in December and served under ex-CEO Carol Bartz there, will oversee Skype’s global brand and marketing, as well as local go-to-market activities. As a corporate VP at Microsoft, she will report to the company’s president Tony Bates and work out of Skype’s Palo Alto office.     "What are twentysomethings doing online?" asked Eric Weisberg, executive creative director for JWT. "They're watching videos of people setting horse's farts on fire and juggling babies."     Ahead of Facebook’s first quarterly earnings report on Thursday, AdParlor has released data showing mobile ads on the social network cost less and perform better than those on the desktop. That's especially true for Android devices. AdParlor and other firms that specialize in Facebook advertising issued similar findings last month.     Mobile games ad network Kiip has introduced its own digital wallet allowing people to store and redeem rewards earned through game play. Previously, all users redeemed rewards one by one via email. The new Kiip App will allow users to store rewards in a single location as well as provide a catalog of all 400 games and apps through which the company provides sponsored prizes and product discounts.
