The voices of Neil Patrick Harris and Rainn Wilson will be featured in the new campaign for the 2014 Honda Odyssey advertising campaign. The new effort also presents a new Honda tagline, "Start Something Special." Besides three initial TV spots, there's a tie-in with "The X Factor" talent show, an integration with Rovio's "Angry Birds" and Zyngo's "Words with Friends."

Al Jazeera America today announced former Tumblr media director Mark Coatney has been named the channel’s first SVP, digital media. In that role, he’ll oversee the network’s Web site and be the “senior decision maker” for all things digital, according to a spokesperson. Coatney has his work cut out for him. Al Jazeera America, which replaced Current TV, debuted on Aug. 20 to low ratings in its first week. Twitter has acquired social TV analytics provider Trendrr as the microblogging service continues to establish itself as the primary platform for real-time conversations around TV shows. Twitter earlier this year bought social TV metrics firm Bluefin Labs and late last year struck a partnership with Nielsen to develop a Twitter TV Rating tracking audience social media activity.
