Hyundai Co-Sponsors Carrie Underwood Album Release Party With IHeartRadio

Hyundai and partner iHeartRadio are jointly the presenting sponsors of the release party for Carrie Underwood's new album, "Greatest Hits: Decade #1" on Tuesday. The participants say the deal includes digital music, terrestrial radio, celebrity sponsorship, outdoor digital and a cause-related program for the military.

Both Hyundai and Clear Channel Outdoor will be coordinating New York Times Square billboards to broadcast the party live on Dec. 9. Per a release, Hyundai is doing this to reach holiday radio listeners, and because the automaker "wanted to include exclusive music opportunities as part of their brand. This also allowed them to do something engaging for multiple demographics in the family and, of course, Carrie is A-list talent with many life milestones that reflect the Sonata owners," per a release.

Central to all of this is the party itself, with iHeartMedia hosting and Hyundai as presenting sponsor. The event is at the iHeartRadio Theater presented by P.C. Richard & Son in New York. Syndicated country radio talent Bobby Bones will host the one-hour performance by Underwood and interview to follow.

IHeartMedia says the event will broadcast across more than 115 of its country radio stations nationwide, at iHeartRadio.com/CarrieUnderwood, and via a special video feed to a Clear Channel Outdoor billboard in Times Square at the corner of 47th and Broadway.

The event will also air the following day, Dec. 10, across the American Forces Network for military members and their families serving overseas. Hyundai is also backing a promotional element wherein a winner and guest can attend the event.
