Ogilvy and Mather named Colin Drummond as head of planning in the New York office, charged with overseeing brand strategy. He will report to Colin Mitchell, worldwide head of planning. This is
Drummond's second stint at Ogilvy & Mather. Previously, he served as chief strategy officer of Ogilvy & Mather in Los Angeles, leading strategic planning and positioning on American Express,
Cisco, Beringer and ARCO. He also held strategy positions at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Mullen and AKQA. Most recently, Drummond was partner and chief strategy officer of Deutsch LA, overseeing the
agency's planning and strategy group and working with clients like Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Volkswagen, Target and Dr Pepper Snapple Group. "Colin Drummond is one of the most respected names in the
Planning world," said Mitchell. "He has led strategy on many definitive brand campaigns over the last decade and has also trained a cadre of planners who now populate some of the best agency
departments in the world. We're delighted to have him back where he belongs."
