Report Finds Industry Salaries Well Into Six Figures

As demand rises for skilled advertising and marketing professionals, some of the top rated job categories and talent will see a take home pay that exceeds $175,000 or more annually.

Some salaries edged up compared with a year ago. Search engine optimization and search marketing and advertising roles this year land top salaries between $75,000 and $130,000, according to data released Wednesday by Mondo, an Addison Group Company and staffing agency specializing in tech and digital marketing talent.

The results of its annual Tech and Digital Marketing Salary Guide suggest paid search strategists will take home annual salaries of between $90,500 and $130,500 this year. In 2018’s survey findings the top salary pay for paid search strategies reached between $85,000 and $125,000.

The annual 2019 pay scale widens for digital media managers. It’s estimated this group will garner between $75,000 and $130,000 in 2019, which remains flat from the prior year. Pay per click managers will earn an estimated $90,000 to $130,000 for the year, also flat.

The 10 highest paid digital marketing jobs for 2019 have salaries up to or exceed $175,000 annually. The top five include the CMO with a take home pay between $165,000 and $250,000; vice president of marketing technology solutions between $135,000 and $205,000; vice president of digital marketing between $135,00 and $200,000; marketing automation architect between $155,000 and $180,000; and vice president of interactive between $135,000 and $180,000.

Other high paying positions include vice president of ecommerce between $12,000 and $180,000; director of UX/UI between $125,000 and $175,000; director of interactive between $110,000 and $175,000; director of web analytics between $110,000 and $175,000; and UX specialist and information architect between $110,000 and $175,000.

Data became an important factor this year with salaries related to analytics ranging between $55,000 and $170,000 annually. Google analytics experts see the highest and most diverse pay scale, with take home salaries between $85,000 and $170,000. Last year the pay scale ranged from $100,000 to $170,000.

Big data analysts are earmarked for between $85,500 and $115,500 in 2019. Marketing data and web analysts have a range between $55,000 and $135,000 depending on experience.

Mobile and web development positions range between $85,000 and $165,000 annually, but digital media buyers seems to have even a wider range when it comes to annual take-home salary, between $65,000 and $125,000.

At the bottom of the pay scale, per the study, marketing coordinators will get paid the least, between $45,000 and $85,500.
