NBCU's Local CTV/OTT Inventory Available On FreeWheel's Strata

Expanding the availability of its local CTV and OTT inventory, NBC Universal TV stations’ advanced advertising group NBC Spot On has made a deal with FreeWheel’s Strata media-planning and media-buying system, the sister Comcast-owned business.

Advertisers can access NBC Spot On’s owned or purchased, long-form inventory across all U.S. DMAs and NBCUniversal’s regional sports network group.

NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations includes 42 NBC and Telemundo local TV stations and digital businesses in 30 markets, as well as a regional news network, and locally based digital TV networks.

Strata is used by more than 1,200 media agencies. Comcast bought the company in 2005. FreeWheel, the video ad platform, was bought by Comcast in 2014.

Last month, NBC Spot On made its inventory available on Mediaocean, the big media-buying software platform for U.S. media agencies and media sellers.

Mediaocean processes $150 billion in worldwide media spending annually.
