TechRepublic, an information provider for IT decision makers, serving 18 million registered users, has been acquired by B2B service company TechnologyAdvice. Terms were not disclosed.
The deal follows TechnologyAdvice’s acquisition of Quinstreet's B2B media business unit and further positions the firm in the B2B media space.
TechRepublic provides forums, articles, a resource library and newsletters, including Developer Essentials, Innovation, TechRepublic Cover Stories., Executive Briefing, Microsoft Weekly, Apple Weekly and Cubersecurity Insider. Previously owned by Red Ventures and CNET Media Group, it has served developers for over 20 years.
TechnologyAdvice offers content, digital advertising and lead-gen services.
In addition to adding staff to TechnologyAdvice’s team in the U.S., UK, Sinapore and Australia, the deal “grows our audience substantially -- enabling our 600+ technology clients to more intelligently engage with over 10 million technology users every month,” states Rob Bellenfant, founder-CEO of TechnologyAdvice.
TechnologyAdvice’s mission is to “meet tech buyers where they are, taking into account their personal preferences for consuming the wealth of information available to them,” Bellenfant adds.
TechRepublic “expands our ability to provide true omnichannel experiences for tech buyers and engagement opportunities for vendors,” he states.
