NBCU Expands Partnership Strategy, Strikes Deal With Holler

NBCUniversal says it is expanding its “partnership strategy” in a number of areas -- including digital distribution, social media, and measurement.

NBCU has struck a distribution digital deal with Holler, a “conversational” media company, to start digital marketing/advertising experiences “for brands within messaging.”

NBCUniversal and Holler will partner to create “shareable stickers” within Venmo’s payment platform. Holler’s AI technology can suggest content to users in real-time.

This means extending the reach of NBCU’s existing deals with Twitter, Apple and YouTube -- and more recent deals with Snap, TikTok, IG, Facebook and Reach TV.

NBCU also announced that it has invited social media platforms to provide proposals for submitting new ideas to ramp up Olympics partnership social content for its upcoming Olympics telecast.

Extending its efforts over new measurement and some 80 provider proposals, NBCU will hold its first Measurement Innovation Forum on November 16, where the company will bring together media agency holding companies, trade groups and advertisers.

NBC says that after working on building its all-screen commerce platform over the last three years, its One21 commerce platform will be officially launched next month.
