Berlin-based customer acquisition firm Audience Serv has acquired Emailbidding, an email marketplace located in Porto, Portugal, the firm announced on Tuesday. Terms were not disclosed.
Emailbidding offers a web-based marketplace that allows advertisers and agencies to acquire new customers by permission-based email, in part by using a bidding process.
Audience Serv’s goal is to make “B2C customer acquisition via email as easy and effective as possible,” says David Pikart, co-founder and co-CEO of Audience Serv.
Users can set up email campaigns and send them via an email publisher network. An automatic matching process assigns the most relevant emails, while campaigns for the same target group compete based on a “bidding model,” the firms say.
The campaign that is most relevant to the end user and with the highest “bid” set by the advertiser has preferential access to audiences, they add.
The platform also includes analytics. Emailbidding says it is GDPR compliant.
Founded in 2008, Audience Serv is a customer acquisition and lead-generation firm with offices in Munich, Barcelona, Singapore and Hanoi.
Audience Serv offers “100+ million opt-in premium data sets,” according to its web site. Its targeting options include geotargeting, sociodemographic, interests and device. Clients range from HSBC to Club Med.
