Generative artificial intelligence (GAI) has helped companies push
the boundaries of innovation and performance, despite a drop in profit reported during earnings announcements based on increased investment in AI.
Wix, which provides a software as a service
(SaaS) global website building platform, has expanded its partnership with Google to offer Gemini for Workspace. It released the product just days after introducing a GAI tool that can write an entire
blog post based on prompts.
The Wix-Google partnership provides website builders with advanced GAI solutions across Google Workspace that can streamline workflows, enhance creativity, and
boost efficiency. It supports sales, marketing, customer service, email and more, including enterprise security and privacy features.
Gemini can help users write documents and
emails, design slideshows, organize projects and more.

Gemini is seamlessly integrated with Google Workspace apps such as Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Meet in one location, enabling users
to create, communicate, and collaborate.
Yuval Dvir, senior director of online channels and partnerships at Google, confirmed that Wix has become the first partner to offer Gemini for
Workspace.
Wix is scheduled to report second-quarter 2024 results on August 7. The company expects revenue to come in between $431 million and $435 million, with about 11% to 12% growth from
the prior-year quarter's reported figure. Zacks Consensus Estimate forecasts a rise of 11.2% to $433.6 million.
"WIX’s earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in each of the
trailing four quarters, the average surprise being 56.5%," reports the website,
which also lists advancements.
It appears that Wix has been retooling a range of applications based on GAI. In late July the company released GAI tools that produce entire SEO-optimized blog
posts, including images.
The drafts become the foundation, providing a starting point to personalize the content and offering ideas for topics on upcoming posts based on the information on the
site and previously published blog content.
The feature -- which at the present time is only available in English -- automatically gathers information from the existing website content to
create blog posts about the specific products, events, or services.
With this feature, users can describe images and styles using prompts. The blogging tools connect blogs to the Wix business
solutions platform, enabling them to access features such as sending promotional emails to subscribers and linking blog content to pricing plans.
Earlier in the year, March, Wix released an AI
chatbot that enables users to build entire websites using text-based descriptions.
