RE/MAX Ad Media Network Launches To Support Realtors

Another programmatic media network will launch, but this one will become the first to focus on the industry that sells and rents homes and properties.

RE/MAX Media Network, which will leverage an expansive digital ecosystem, was created in partnership with global software provider Basis Technologies and Kontrol Media, a company supporting marketing services.

Kontrol will power the digital ad infrastructure, operations and sales for RE/MAX. It will monetize the sites via programmatic channels by integrating with Basis’ DSP so that users of Basis can buy purchase private marketplace (PMP) deals on RE/MAX sites.

Basis plans to connect advertisers with a platform that allows them to purchase PMP deals on the RE/MAX U.S. and Canada sites. It's not clear whether the ad network will allow advertisers to buy space outside of the RE?MAX's network of sites.

Erik Carlson, CEO of RE/MAX Holdings, believes the ability to connect advertisers with the sellers of ad space will create a “dynamic marketplace where brands can engage with consumers in meaningful ways.” It will reinforce the RE/MAX brand and strategies.

The company promises seamless integration, analytics, and precision targeting capabilities for advertisers. RE/MAX gains a new revenue-generating opportunity.

Augmenting revenue from advertising could help the company. RE/MAX reported Q3 2024 revenue excluding the marketing funds, fell 3.3% to $58.4 million for the quarter, driven by negative 3.0% organic growth and 0.3% adverse foreign currency movements.

Overall, RE/MAX Holdings generated revenue of $78.5 million that quarter -- down $2.7 million, or 3.4%, compared with $81.2 million in Q3 2023.

RE/MAX said the commerce media network aligns with the brand’s larger vision of modernization and industry leadership.

The company also pulled numbers from Google Analytics showing that home buyers spend time on RE/MAX digital properties, with 7.6 million monthly users, and 53 million monthly page views.

Those who visit the company’s digital properties spend on average of 4 minutes, with 4.4 average page views per session. The site has 2.5 million registered users across remax.com and remax.ca.

Basis is one company that has been coming up from behind to publicly support major brands. In October, the company launched a campaign supported by Bottle Rocket Media (BRM).

The campaign, The New Golden Age of Advertising, ran from October 7 through October 10 across streaming, over the top (OTT), digital displays (including Times Square), print, and more.

BRM thought outside of the box when creating this, sending the viewer back to the golden age of advertising in 1960s style. It discussed the challenges agencies have faced through the years and presented how the Basis platform, with its ability to centralize, organize, and automate digital advertising, changed advertising.
