Google To Launch AI Reporting Tools For Ads, Analytics

Google has announced it will roll out artificial intelligence (AI) and agentic experiences for Google Ads and Google Analytics to help advertisers perform tasks and uncover insights faster.

New dashboards will enable advertisers to see and analyze changes in Google Ads, with one for Google Analytics coming soon. They will also give advertisers the ability to evaluate campaign performance because reporting should be intuitive and easy, Josh Moser, senior director of product management at Google, wrote in a blog post published Monday.

Google Ads and Analytics will launch AI dashboards that enable advertisers to create visual performance reports using simple natural-language prompts from raw data to give advertisers full visuals with simple text prompts.

Each report will automatically generate a real-time summary explaining the "why" behind the data, helping advertisers easily understand campaign performance or make a case for a new campaign idea.

Dashboards are only one part of Google’s announcements. The company also explained new AI experiences built on Gemini, a multimodal generative AI assistant that belongs to a family of large language models developed by Google DeepMind.

These features aim to ease repetitive tasks, streamline workflows, and speed campaign creation.

They also are intended to add data insights and analytics to improve targeting, maximize budget efficiency and increase overall campaign performance.

AI Overviews will now provide a recap at the top of the page since the last time the user logged in.

From seasonal peaks in sales to changes in traffic, marketers can quickly understand changes to determine the most important things that matter now and which steps to take next.

The additions will appear at the top of the Google Analytics home page to summarize key traffic changes and account updates.

Google Ads, similar to AI Overviews, also introduced a new AI-generated summary of personalized insights at the top of the home page, for advertisers to analyze their insights.

A new benchmarking tool in Google Analytics will give advertisers access to performance metrics. The data will integrate with Ask Advisor, Google’s in-product agent announced in May. This integration enables advertisers to compare their advertising performance with competitors.

Ask Advisor connects tools like Google Ads, Google Analytics, Merchant Center and the Google Marketing Platform to recommendations for these features. It helps marketers turn new insights into actionable campaign strategies.

Similar to a dashboard, marketers can use the tool to automate campaign setups, diagnose performance drops, generate creative assets, and build visuals of custom data using natural language commands -- without the need to switch between platforms.
