Google Ads Enhances AI Max, Enables Unified Reporting

Google has added new features for advertisers using AI Max with the ability to access one unified reporting system in Google Ads.

The new reporting feature is being introduced to help advertisers track their Search Ads from start to finish, and to establish that the platform's AI tool, "AI Max," is improving their results.

This approach aims to make it easier for advertisers to evaluate and validate the value the platform brings to campaigns.

Rather than viewing isolated pieces of data, advertisers will see the entire path a user takes, from the search query to seeing the ad, clicking and making a purchase.

It has been one year since Google AI Max for Search Campaigns launched. It now supports more than 500,000 advertisers moving to artificial intelligence.

The shift has become apparent in data released today by Cisco Systems. Survey results of more than 1,000 IT and network professionals shows that 75% have already deployed AI for network operations that combines AI and machine learning, with more than half now running agentic AI systems. About 84% expect to run an AI-led operating model within 12 months.

Cisco's findings indicate that organizations have moved from artificial intelligence (AI) in an advisory role to agentic for agent-powered network operations where operators set direction and guardrails while AI agents sense, reason, and act across domains

"AI Brief," Google's ad platform, also expanded globally in seven new languages. Advertisers can now steer campaign messaging, creative guidelines, and audience targeting in Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Powered by Gemini, the AI Brief feature allows marketers to direct AI in their native language before campaigns go live.

Google on Wednesday also introduced two new text-to-speech models to the Gemini family, transforming voice generation from static presets into a dynamic creative studio.

These models enable creators, developers, and enterprises to design more expressive audio experiences, and bring an enhanced user experience to products including "Gemini Notebook" and "Google Vids."

The models are called "Gemini 3.8 Flash TTS," which are built for deep creative direction and character design, and "Gemini 3.8 Flash-Lite TTS, which was built for high-volume and the maximum possible outcome or benefit relative to the resources and money spent.

These features are being rolled out as Google prepares to retire legacy ad formats or update features to new products associated with campaign configurations, and manual targeting tools such as Dynamic Search Ads (DSA), which was introduced more than a decade ago.

DSA, which Google in April said would be updated, performed as a keywordless ad format.

Rather than bidding on specific keywords, advertisers gave Google a website URL, and the system automatically read the site, pulled content to create a headline, and matched copy to relevant user queries.

Google is calling AI Max the next iteration of Dynamic Search Ads, and announced its official retirement. The company announced the final automatic migration will begin in February 2027.

AI Max comes with the same benefits as DSA while offering an AI-powered solution to prepare campaigns for the next era of Search, the company wrote in a blog post.

It combines advertiser input, like ads and website content, with data signals to help find even untapped queries. AI Max also offer more advanced controls that allow advertisers to gain greater precision with AI.
