    Southwest Airlines will start serving Corona Extra with a lime on its flights this week for $5 per can. The airline also serves Bud Light, Miller Lite, Michelob Ultra, and Heineken. Southwest will be testing Corona Extra onboard through September and at that time, based on Customer demand, the airline will determine whether to keep the offering onboard.   • Chevy Goes to Bat on iPad
    Chevrolet is extending its involvement in baseball as a marketing platform for cars and crossovers with a 3D simulation game designed for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The marketing for the game, "Chevy Baseball," which was designed by Brooklyn, NY-based Small Planet Digital, includes a chance to win a trip to attend the 2010 All Star Game. The game, which uses Apple's built-in accelerometer technology, offers a Wii-like virtual playing experience. Players can compete in in three or nine inning games, mini games, and various tutorials.     Facebook has confirmed its highly-anticipated location-based "check-in" feature, which, according to TechCrunch, "is apparently due to launch shortly if the code found on their touch.facebook.com site is any indication."     Faces investigation by the FTC on privacy grounds, Facebook has hired what The Register is calling "a big legal gun" to fight back against regulators' increasing interest in its business.   • WPP: Scrutinize Google/AdMod Deal!
    As if Google wasn't having a hard enough time getting government approval for its AdMob acquisition, WPP head Martin Sorrell is calling for even more scrutiny of the proposed deal. "It (regulatory investigation) should be rigorous," Sorrell told Reuters "on the sidelines" of the World Economic Forum on Europe.   • McDonald's CMO Moves To U.S. Cellular
    McDonald global chief marketing officer Mary N. Dillon will join U.S. Cellular as president and CEO, effective June 1, the telecommuncations company announced. Dillon, 48, replaces U.S. Cellular president John E. Rooney, who is retiring. She will also be a member of the company's board.     Thanks to devices like the Motorola Droid, smartphones powered by Google's Android operating system outsold iPhone models in the first quarter, according to new research from NPD Group. Android phones claimed 28% of the smartphone market compared to 21% for Apple, and were second only to BlackBerry-maker Research In Motion, with a 36% share. Keep in mind, Android spans many multiple handset makers and carriers.

A new rule from the Federal Communications Commission is allowing movie studios to electronically stop consumers from taping certain video-on-demand movies, according to a ruling approved on Friday.     Women's Wear Daily reports that Procter & Gamble Co. has created a 28-minute infomercial for Olay Professional Pro-X, quoting company execs who say the brand has been slow to drive trials. The high-end Olay line, which retails for between $42 and $62, rivals department-store brand in prices, but is distributed through drug, discount and supermarket channels. WWD reports that sales of Olay Pro-X reached almost $80 million for the 52 weeks ended March 31, according to ACNielsen, and that the infomercial -- said to have cost between $750,000 and $1 million to make -- will boost sales. …
