Social site Pinterest will begin promoting pins in search results and category feeds based on searches by consumers. Ben tells us that a pin for a Darth Vader outfit from a costume shop might be promoted in a search using the keyword Halloween. The ads won't cost brands, yet. This is just a
test to get feedback. It's another example of how social and search work together.

Marketers finally have a name they can use when referring to Google's anonymous identifier for tracking advertisements that the company has been working on for some time. AdID would replace third-party cookies as a method for advertisers to track Internet browsing activity.
