Gannett has not only laid off newsroom employees, it has also cut staff at the The FSView & Florida Flambeau, the Florida State University student publication that it owns. The paper lost three positions. 

The Washington Post has cut 20 jobs, a decision called “difficult” by Sally Buzbee, executive. The Post has identified 30 open positions that it will not fill.
