SparkPost Enhances Its Email Validation Service

Email delivery firm SparkPost has debuted a new version of its Recipient Validation service.

Designed to help brands protect their sender reputation, the service uses sending data from trillions of emails to eliminate bad email addresses. With this enhancement, the company says it has added data and claims it has doubled the number of incorrect addresses it can detect.

In addition, it is offering new typo detection capabilities that can identify common mistakes people make when entering their email addresses into sign-up forms, a common source of lead loss.

The firm hopes to optimize “email engagement based on predictive data analytics and machine learning,” states Charlie Reverte, chief product officer of SparkPost.

SparkPost contends that its validation methods are more effective than the standard SMTP ping approach, a process it sys is like ringing a doorbell and running away.
