This morning, Viacom and CBS announced that their merger is expected to close on December 4.

The companies had already indicated that the closing was expected in "early December." 

The newly created ViacomCBS Inc. is expected to begin trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market on December 5, under the ticker symbols VIACA and VIAC.
