
The Toyota Tacoma pickup is featured in a
the "Blue Beetle" action adventure film from Warner Bros.
The truck appears in the movie, which includes Xolo Maridueña and George Lopez, and also in a campaign
inspired by the film partnership.
The campaign, from Saatchi, extends across digital video, cinema, programmatic and paid search including partners such
as MAX, YouTube TV, and Twitch. Paid social runs across Meta, Instagram, Reddit and TikTok.
Toyota is Warner Bros. Pictures’ official automotive partner in the
feature film, in theaters Aug. 18.
The film, marking the DC Super Hero’s first time on the big screen, is directed by Ángel Manuel Soto.
The story
follows recent college grad Jaime Reyes, who unexpectedly finds himself in possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Scarab.

When the Scarab suddenly bonds to
Jaime, he’s bestowed with an a suit of armor capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes Blue Beetle.
A Tacoma appears
throughout the film as the Reyes’ beloved family vehicle, referred to as the “Taco.” Additionally, the all-new 2024 Tacoma also makes a special cameo.
