Despite hailing from America’s dairyland, Wisconsin natives Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Company and Duluth Trading Company have launched a collaboration that celebrates the Midwestern summer while leaving the cheese behind.
The two partnered for the “quintessential summer kit,” with co-branded apparel and accessories. Clothing in the limited-edition menswear collection features artwork suggesting summertime on the lake, depicting items such as canoes, paddles and beer bottles.
"Summer is certainly celebrated in the Northwoods, and teaming up with Duluth Trading brings lake life through in a whole new way,” commented Tony Bugher, Leinenkugel president in the announcement. “It's about pairing great beer with new summer wearables and making the most of every moment outside."
The collection, sold in-store and online at www.duluthtrading.com/limited-edition, includes a Men's BBQ Short Sleeve Shirt, Men's Buck Naked Pattern Boxer Briefs, Men's Buck Naked Smooth Boxer Briefs, Men's Stay-Put Lightweight Crew Socks, Duluth Truck Stop Hat and a 28-oz SiliPint Beer Stein. There are also co-branded Savory Herb Peanuts, which are only available in-store.

"Both of our brands are rooted in craftsmanship and a very Midwestern approach to enjoying life,” said Ricker Schlecht, senior vice president of product development at Duluth Trading, in the announcement. “This limited-edition capsule is built for summer adventures, whether you're cracking open a cold one by the lake or getting your hands dirty at the cabin."
Leinenkugel Brewing was founded by Jacob Leinenkugel in 1867 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and the family’s sixth generation is still involved with the company. The Molson Coors brand, in addition to its original lager, also brews many seasonal brews such as Summer Shandy, Grapefruit Shandy and Oktoberfest.
