AI Agents Feeding On Data Make Conversational Commerce Personal

Smartly, which recently integrated Reddit into its network, has been working to advance conversational commerce by enabling AI agents to support processes in real-time based on one-on-one customer interactions.

In turn, Velasco said, AI unlocks richer customer insights that drive more effective planning, precision retargeting, media buying, and optimized campaign performance.

Smartly’s research and development team has been working with AI Agents that have learned how to power shopping experiences, showing brands how to become “personal” and leave “personalization” behind, for every process throughout conversational commerce -- providing a way for businesses to help consumers make purchases.

At Smartly, AI agents analyze large, diverse datasets and determine the information needed to make better decisions. Campaigns perform better in less time, delivering on average a 5.5x return on ad spend, as verified by PwC, according to Velasco.

AI agents are embedded and through natural-language processes support the campaign through the entire lifecycle, from planning and briefing to creative production, optimization, and reporting.

Agents automate manual tasks and generate creative assets such as image, video, background, and voice to improve content, feeds, budgets, tags, and more to improve storytelling.

Last week, Smartly announced the integration of Reddit into its unified platform. This launch enables brands to run, manage, and measure Reddit campaigns.

Reddit joins Smartly’s ecosystem of supported platforms that span connected television (CTV), social media, and the open web, enabling advertisers to launch and optimize campaigns across many digital environments such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and Pinterest.

These platforms integrate into Smartly, allowing advertisers to run full-funnel, cross-channel campaigns from one platform.

Smartly commissioned Forrester Research to survey 822 digital advertising and conversational commerce experts at North America, EMEA, and APAC organizations to evaluate their adoption and use of conversational commerce technologies.

Forrester Research found that 73% of marketers plan to increase their conversational commerce investments by up to 50% over the next two years.
