LinkedIn, Adobe Team Up To Teach Marketers About AI

LinkedIn and Adobe have forged a partnership to launch “AI Essentials for Marketers,” a suite of remote classes designed to teach marketers about the role artificial intelligence (AI) plays in their professional field.

As all leading social media platforms continue to invest heavily in AI, regularly expanding their ad platforms with automated features, there is an increased need for AI skills among marketers.

LinkedIn Economic Graph data shows that the share of marketing roles requiring AI literacy has more than doubled year-over-year, and is now up 113%.Despite this major increase, only 4% of marketers have added AI skills to their LinkedIn profiles.

Intended for marketers seeking more expertise regarding AI-powered ad systems, tools and approaches, the “LinkedIn Learning” courses will utilize “short-form, social-first learning formats” and are “designed for marketers at any stage of their career,” according to a joint announcement.

The class load will consist of four role-based courses available in 47 languages, based on the most in-demand marketing functions highlighted in insights mined from the social business-to-business platform's large swath of collected data.

Last week, LinkedIn announced BrandWorks, a team of experts across brand, creative, content, and events to provide marketers with “hands-on strategy and support” surrounding in-app campaigns. This group is in charge of designing these new courses.

Class titles thus far cover all major areas of the marketing field, including “Content & Creative Marketers,” “Digital Marketers,” “Data & Analytics Marketers,” “Communication & Social Media Marketers,” and “Event & Field Marketers.”

Marketers who complete the courses will earn LinkedIn Learning certificates that they can display on their LinkedIn profiles.

LinkedIn and Adobe plan to upload new learning content regularly to keep up with the latest AI skills training.
