Pittsburgh-based GNC Holdings is partnering with actor Mark Wahlberg for a new product line called Marked, a nutritional supplement line for workout-prone alpha males.
As part of this partnership, Wahlberg will serve as the leading brand ambassador and will drive the marketing approach for the line. As such he will appear at GNC stores around the country this year.
A portion of sales for the line, which comprises seven sports and active nutrition products, benefits the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation for inner-city kids.
Joe Fortunato, president and CEO of GNC said, in a statement, that the products will be available through various channels of distribution in the U.S. and overseas.
The Marked products will launch in GNC stores and on GNC.com, and at other retailers.
