Local digital advertising revenues are projected to grow 13.1% in 2012, according to the U.S.
Local Media Forecast (2011-2016) released this morning by BIA/Kelsey.
The forecast projects several local media segments are likely to exceed that overall rate of growth, especially
mobile search, which will expand 77.2%.
Online video is projected to grow 51.6% and social will expand 26.3%.
"For some media, like newspapers, digital ad revenues will be the
only source of growth," BIA/Kelsey noted.
