How This Paramount+ Data Pro Makes It Work

Paramount+'s Stef Work on embracing risk, her passion for theater, and why sometimes making a fool of yourself is a good thing!

I've had the opportunity to connect with and learn from executives of major brands at MediaPost's Insider Summits. In the process I've discovered some truly impressive women -- not only for the work they do, but their stories behind the scenes. With Brand Insider: BTS, I get to pull back the curtain on some of the most influential women marketers as they talk about their path to success: the twists and turns, obstacles, inspirations and the valuable lessons learned along the way.

Did you ever land your “dream job” only to discover it wasn’t all that dreamy? Paramount+’s Stef Work did. Fresh out of college, she nabbed her dream job in theater—only to realize that passion alone doesn’t pay the bills. So even though she loved the work, it was that realization that led her from the arts to Hasbro, where one simple question—“Can I figure this out?”—launched her career in data analytics. In this episode of Brand Insider: BTS, Stef admits she thrives on organization and strategy but has also learned that life isn’t just about sticking to the plan. It’s about recognizing opportunities, taking risks, and being open to what comes next. She also believes one of the biggest challenges for women entering the workforce is speaking up. Her advice-- don't be silenced or afraid to ask questions, because "if your voice isn't valued then the company isn't worth you." Watch the full conversation in the video above!
