Samsung launched a smartwatch Wednesday called the Galaxy Gear that works with Android-powered devices. It features a 1.63-inch screen and 1.9-megapixel camera. The watch goes on sale Sept. 25. The device syncs with tablets and smartphones using Google's Android software.

OMD CEO Alan Cohen is departing the agency the shop confirmed late Monday after the close of the stock markets. PHD CEO Monica Karo is replacing him as U.S. CEO at the agency and senior global account executive Robert Habeck will succeed Karo at the helm of PHD U.S. Cohen is shifting to a new marketing company that will have the backing of Omnicom.

The month-long, sometimes testy carriage disagreement between CBS and Time Warner Cable -- where TV stations and CBS cable networks were off the air -- is over. On Monday the two parties announced it had an agreement: CBS was back on the Time Warner Cable systems in New York, Los Angeles and Dallas, and CBS’s cable networks, including Showtime and CBS Sports, will be available to Time Warner Cable subscribers in all U.S. markets where CBS cable channels had aired. The voices of Neil Patrick Harris and Rainn Wilson will be featured in the new campaign for the 2014 Honda Odyssey advertising campaign. The new effort also presents a new Honda tagline, "Start Something Special." Besides three initial TV spots, there's a tie-in with "The X Factor" talent show, an integration with Rovio's "Angry Birds" and Zyngo's "Words with Friends."
