An ABC rep firm has added more signage in Times Square to sell with three displays on what’s called the Bow Tie Building. An initial task will be finding a replacement for MTV, which is
giving up its space. Pepsi, with 12,000 feet on top of the building, and Swatch hold the other two spots.
ABC Regional Sports and Entertainment also sells LED signage on the building
where “Good Morning America” is filmed, as well as the Times Square Disney and American Eagle retail locations.
The 77-year-old Bow Tie Building in the heart of Times
Square houses Toys ‘R Us, Foot Locker and Swatch stores. The building owner runs a network of movie theaters.
The ABC group also sells time on video screens in New York taxis
with Disney programming, in addition to signage in six sports venues, including New York’s Citi Field and Denver’s Pepsi Center. It also works with a network in McDonald’s stores in
Southern California.
The Bow Tie owners say more than 50,000 pedestrians pass the building each day, giving advertisers ample opportunity for global exposure during broadcasts on New
Year’s Eve.
